I’ve been terrible at picking up the books I own in the past few months, and instead just been reading various library books and e-books. I figured by making a list, I’d have a better chance of clearing a few of my priority books, before the inevitable Christmas haul, at which point these get pushed down the list yet again. As well as the books here, I’d really like to re-read Harry Potter, over the Christmas period, something I’ve been promising myself for the last four years.
1. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
An Owlcrate book that I’ve been wanting to read since the minute it arrived. I’ve heard mostly good things about it, but for some reason I keep putting it off when selecting my next read.
2. Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
Perhaps the book I’m most likely to get to. I’m a massive Sanderson fan, and have been accepted onto a blog tour for book two, so this is an absolute must read!
3. Wicked Fox by Kat Cho
This one was a Fairyloot book, I was pulled in by the gorgeous pink sprayed edges. I’ve heard good things about the book, and I think I’ve put it off for fear of it not living up to the hype.
4. I Hope You Get This Message by Farah Naz Rishi
Another Owlcrate book, although this one is relatively new, arriving in the October box. I’m really intrigued by it, and hope to get to it before 2019 comes to a close.
5. Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
I have said over and over and over that I would read Godsgrave next, and STILL haven’t. If time permits, I’ll also read Darkdawn. This is probably the one I’m least excited for, so I won’t be too disappointed if I don’t get to it.
6. Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan
I’m so excited to finally have this book in my possession. I really hope I find time to read it soon!
7. Havenfall by Sara Holland
I was lucky enough to receive a proof from the Bloomsbury team, and can’t wait to see what Havenfall has in store. The cover is also an icy blue that’s super appropriate for a wintery read.
8. Miracle Creek by Angie Kim
This has been on my TBR since it published, and I have recently been given a copy. I haven’t got around to it just yet, but it’s one I’m really intrigued by!
So that’s it, 8 books, which should definitely be doable, but whether I manage to stick to the list is another thing! I’d love to hear what you are hoping to read before the end of year, let me know in the comments!
